Matt Chamberlain: Matt Chamberlain is a drummer that has for years played on countless records and toured with people such as David Bowie, Fiona Apple, Morrissey, Brad Mehldau, Of Montreal, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, Bill Frisell and Critters Buggin to name a few.Company 23 is his new solo electro/acoustic instrumental project. Inspired by experimental electronic music as well as the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, Lalo Schifrin mixed in with a healthy dose of the Melvins meet's Can, Krautrock, Burundi drumming and the sprit of Improvisational music. He will be doing a residency at The Mint every Wednesday in May. Each week will be a different line up with some very special guests.
Mike Dillon: Mike Dillon (aka Mike D) is a percussionist, vibraphonist, bandleader, vocalist and songwriter born in San Antonio, Texas. He is a member of Critters Buggin, Les Claypool's Fancy Band and Garage A Trois. He has performed with many musicians including Ani DiFranco, Galactic, Brave Combo, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Marco Benevento and New Orleans musicians Kevin O'Day, Johnny Vidacovich and James Singleton. Dillon also performed in the 80's with local Dallas and Denton favorites Ten Hands.
Blake Mills: Break Mirrors is Blake Mills’ debut solo album, but for the 23-year-old Los Angeles native, it’s just the latest step in a remarkable musical career that has seen everyone from Kid Rock to Cass McCombs solicit his services as a guitarist. Mills’ trip began with Simon Dawes, the young L.A. rock outfit he formed with his childhood pal Taylor Goldsmith. They made an album, Carnivore, and eventually shared stages with some of the biggest bands in America, cranking out a fresh yet classic sound the Los Angeles Times called “exhilarating.” After his collaboration with Goldsmith ran its course, Mills moved into the next phase of his career, as sideman to the stars. He moved quickly, too: In only a few short years Mills has become one of the most in-demand session guitarists in all of Los Angeles, touring with Cass McCombs, Jenny Lewis, Band of Horses and Julian Casablancas and recording with Weezer, Kid Rock, Jakob Dylan , Andrew Bird, and Jesca Hoop, among others.
Mike Elizondo: Mike Elizondo is especially known for his collaborations with internationally successful producer Dr. Dre and rapper Eminem. He has played the bass for many of Dr. Dre's productions and has co-written some of Eminem's songs, including the hit single "The Real Slim Shady". He co-produced several songs on Encore with Dr. Dre, and co-produced 50 Cent's hit single "In Da Club", again, with Dr. Dre. Elizondo has also co-written songs for many other notable artists, including Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, D-12, Xzibit, Nate Dogg and Obie Trice. Aside from hip-hop, Elizondo has worked with singer-songwriter Fiona Apple, producing her 2005 album Extraordinary Machine. He was also involved in album tracks for artists such as Nelly Furtado, Lisa Marie Presley, and Pink. He writes songs and plays the bass, guitar, and keyboards himself. With three other high-profile musicians, Elizondo is part of the experimental rock group Shogun Warrior, who play at the famed Baked Potato bar & club in Hollywood, CA frequently.
