Matt Chamberlain: Matt Chamberlain is a drummer that has for years played on countless records and toured with people such as David Bowie, Fiona Apple, Morrissey, Brad Mehldau, Of Montreal, Tori Amos, Regina Spektor, Bill Frisell and Critters Buggin to name a few.Company 23 is his new solo electro/acoustic instrumental project. Inspired by experimental electronic music as well as the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, Lalo Schifrin mixed in with a healthy dose of the Melvins meet's Can, Krautrock, Burundi drumming and the sprit of Improvisational music. He will be doing a residency at The Mint every Wednesday in May. Each week will be a different line up with some very special guests.
Kaveh Rastegar: A founding member of 70 piece hip hop orchestra Dakah, Kaveh is also the bassist for Italian superstar Luciano Ligabue, and has recorded and played with Cee Lo, Bruno Mars, De La Soul, Laura Pausini, The Ditty Bops, Colin Hay, Jesca Hoop, Nels Cline, Sam Sparro, Esthero, Noemi, Giusy Ferreri, Antibalas Afro Beat Orchestra, and Wayne Horvitz. Kaveh plays bass and writes music too. In the years since moving from Rochester, New York by way of Denver, Colorado by way of Montreal, Canada, Kaveh has enjoyed success playing music in the greater Los Angeles area. Kaveh is a founding member of the GRAMMY nominated new music quintet Kneebody. Kneebody released their debut cd "Kneebody" on Trumpet player Dave Douglas' Greenleaf Music label in 2005 and in 2007 have followed with "Low Electrical Worker" on the Colortone Media label. They completed an album of arrangements of Charles Ives compositions with singer Theo Bleckmann and released the recording "12 Songs of Charles Ives" which has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Classical Crossover Album and was released on the Munich based record label Winter and Winter. In the 2010 Issue of Downbeat Magazine, Kaveh was recognized as one on the short list in their 75th Annual Readers Poll for Electric Bass.
