    Almost Classy

Almost Classy, Comprised of Aaron Bernbach (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Rob Cunliffe (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Devin McNichol (Vocals, Bass) and Ian Lowe (Drums); hail from all over the country, bringing a wide range of musical backgrounds with them to the table.  Relatively new to Los Agneles, They have worked hard to build a strong and dedicated fan base by performing at iconic as well as lesser know  LA venues.  The rest of their time is spent honing their own unique blend of Pop-Rock, tinged with hints of their biggest inspirations ranging from Guster, to early Maroon 5, and even the Foo Fighters. Their authentic, harmony heavy style is pulled right from classic bands like Queen, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and The Beatles; peppering their tracks with a uniqueness that sets them apart from their musical peers. With a wide variety of influences from all genres of music, Almost Classy has crafted a positive, energetic and upbeat Sound that you're sure to love!

  • Porter Lori

    Porter Lori

Porter Lori blurs many lines. A bi-racial only child of black & french croatian decent he was born to a single mother in Kentucky. His Father (Black) was a cowboy, a businessman, a politician and married. His Mother (White) was a writer, activist, and held down cocktail waitressing as one of the many jobs she would do to support herself & Porter. His mother listened almost exclusively to MoTown but in the evenings while she would clean offices he would sit in the car and listen to the radio. He would fall asleep there absorbing everything from The Police to Steve Miller Band. As a teen Porter dropped out of a violent high school and decided it was time to strike out on his own. He dove head first into his love of HipHop, skateboarding, and Graffiti. Those years were filled with travel, music and pure exploration, but it wasn't always good. He found himself living in the rough 5 Points/Capital Hill area of downtown Denver and he started to become exactly what that environment had created for a lot of young lost males. Life was beginning to take a turn for the worse. He spent many nights in jail wondering what his next move would be. Porter had grown up going back and forth to Kentucky visiting his Father and Aunt and it was there that the seeds of Country, Bluegrass, and a simpler way of life were planted and would lay dormant until he was ready. But his story was just beginning... Porters troubles starting growing and it wasn't until a close friend went away to prison that he knew it was time for a change. He followed a long-time relationship to Los Angeles for a new start but soon found himself alone from a 3 month broken marriage. It was in an empty downtown loft where he spent years writing and developing the songs about his life, taking all his experiences and combining them to create his own sound. His own voice. His own story. His style can be described simply, "One boot on the sidewalk, the other on a long dirt road". His stories are as distinguished as his voice and as diverse as the world that created him. Porter Lori is the NEW story, of Americana Soul ...
