  • Quactus

The most common asked question, “What’s a Quactus?” A Quactus is a little bit of every great jam band you know and love blended together to form a familiar sound that you know you can put your finger on, but you’re not sure why. A band for everyone, Quactus mixes intricately composed guitar leads, tight rhythms and spacey jams that keeps fans all over the country dancing. After 7 years of touring extensively throughout the West coast, Quactus may call Los Angeles, CA home but they continue to entertain crowds wherever they perform.

Quactus debut album, "Once a pond, a spine...", released in 2008 was quickly embraced by the jamband community and led to a win on as “New Groove of the Month”, garnering a wide fan base well beyond the West Coast. In 2010 Quactus released their sophomore album, A Sense of We, taking the band into new directions with genre bending tunes ranging from Irish Music, Heavy Rock, Progressive Rock and Electronic Jams all the while staying true to their roots...playing great music and having a good time doing it.

  • Leo Nocentelli

    Leo Nocentelli

Leo Nocentelli - guitarist, composer, founding member of the internationally known group THE METERS! In their 41-year history, The Meters have grooved their way around the globe. They have toured with such talents as The Rolling Stones, and have been the rhythm for such diverse artists as Dr. John, Paul McCartney, Robert Palmer and Patti Labelle. Considered by many to be the founding fathers of funk, The Meters created a unique sound that lasted through the sixties and seventies and was reborn in the late eighties. Their trademark sound blends funk, blues, and dance grooves with a New Orleans vibe. After working with Allen Toussaint on some Lee Dorsey tracks, The Meters were told to lay down some tracks of their own. Between 1967 and 1969, they recorded four consecutive hit singles: "Sophisticated Cissy," "Cissy Strut," "Ease Back," and "Look a Py Py," which all reached the Top 10 on the R&B charts. Neville created a band that would rule the New Orleans music community for decades to come. From 1971 to 1978 The Meters recorded five albums on the Warner/Reprise label. Cyril Neville, Art Neville's brother, joined the band in 1975 as a percussionist. The band was widely heard playing on albums by Dr. John, Robert Palmer, King Biscuit Boy, Lee Dorsey, Allen Toussaint and a Mardi Gras single released by Paul McCartney and Wings. In 1975, the Meters performed at a party for Paul and Linda McCartney aboard the Queen Mary in California. Shortly thereafter, The Rolling Stones requested that The Meters join them as an opening act on their (1975) American Tour and (1976) European tours-over 75 dates were played between both tours. From 1978 to 1993 THE METERS continued to perform live all over the world. In 1993 THE METERS separated and went on their own way for a few years. In 2000 THE METERS got together and did a very successful reunion at The Warfield in San Francisco and toured up until 2006 performing again, with the world renowned group THE ROLLING STONES. Since then, THE METERS went on hiatus. NOW, Leo Nocentelli guitarist and founding member of THE ORIGINAL METERS has decided to continue to carry on THE METERS music with such classic hits, such as, CISSY STRUT, FIRE ON THE BAYOU, HEY POCKY WAY and LOOK A PY PY and the list goes on and on. THE MUSIC musical sound is now known as THE METERS EXPERIENCE.
