    Ghost Light

Ghost Light is a true musical collaboration; five personalities, five perspectives, and five unique approaches towards one common sound.
Breaking with current traditions, rather than initially focusing on live shows, the band played together for the first time in a recording studio in Philadelphia.  This decision gave the band’s members - Holly BowlingTom Hamilton (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, American Babies, Brothers Past), Steve Lyons (Nico’s Gun), Raina Mullen (American Babies) and Scotty Zwang (Dopapod) - the ability to come to the project with fresh ears and no pre-conceived notions. They developed the songs as they developed their musical communication which led to trust, creativity and an adventurous take on the process.  Scotty Zwang explained it thusly, “It’s a unique and interesting approach we get to take...we are being patient with each other and figuring out what the song needs”
While the recording project has been the beginning point for Ghost Light, the live experience is what will define this band. “In the parts of the sessions where we have had a little more room to just let things go, there have been these little glimmers of what the improvisation will feel like live. That’s a whole other thing and it’s very exciting,” notes Holly Bowling. Tom Hamilton adds, “with this new band, we felt super comfortable going in any direction, knowing that with our new bandmates, the songs will get to where they needs to go. And in the live setting, that confidence is just as strong.”
The first half of 2018 will see the band playing major venues in major markets coast to coast, followed by heavy rotation on the festival circuit.  The debut record will be released in the second half of the year and will be supported by an extensive tour.  In 2018 you will get to know Ghost Light, and the future could not be brighter.

    The Alpine Camp

The Alpine Camp is an endeavor that started as a musical challenge and blossomed into a larger obsession. Sounds of the outdoors channeled through live instrumentation were the parameters the band placed upon themselves. “We wanted to transmit the vibe of rock music through the medium typically used in folk, bluegrass and country bands”, says singer/guitarist Chris Bell. Charles Etienne (Singer/keyboards) continues, “It was important to me that the songs stood on their own, and weren’t simply a result of processing or gadgetry in the studio”.

THE resulting EP achieved this goal and in doing so, inspired Charles and Chris to create it’s namesake band; The Alpine Camp. The group is anchored by the songwriting partnership of Bell and Etienne whose childhood friendship has developed the two into lifelong musical companions. “It was important that we not only utilized masterful players, but ones that appreciated the songs we had written and wanted to grow with the band. As soon as I heard the first banjo pluck in the studio, I knew this was much more than a one off project”, recalls Bell. The additional musicians in the group provide both deft playing as well as attention to the song craft that have had audiences dancing, drinking and humming tunes on their way home.

Folks in The Alpine Camp have performed with members of The Black Crowes, The Allman Bros. Band, Gov’t Mule, Guster, Roberta Flack, the Derek Trucks Band and more. The band has quickly found fans of their signature “Roots Rock for the Outdoors”, playing at some of the most noted venues in the Southwest. Their emphasis on the live show is evident in the most recent addition to their live performance series; “Live from the Trail – Los Angeles”, recorded at the acclaimed The Mint LA. The group stands poised for a groundbreaking 2015, so get to a show and make camp…The Alpine Way!
