  • Matt Westerman

    Matt Westerman

Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Matt Westerman writes upbeat acoustic pop songs with a positive, compassionate message meant to uplift and inspire listeners everywhere. His debut record, “Life Out Loud” (due out this fall), is a musical manifestation of the phrase “carpe diem,” that shines with all the inherent bravery needed to live life to the fullest. The EP showcases Matt’s ability to write powerful melodies, catchy hooks, and thoughtful lyrics. This, combined with his distinctively smooth vocal delivery and stand out rhythm guitar playing, makes “Life Out Loud” the perfect introduction to the world of Matt Westerman.
The EP is inspired by Matt’s unique background in music, education, and psychology. He’s spent the last few years working as a self-employed tutor which informed and impacted his songwriting. In addition, Matt’s degree in psychology has had an impact on his songwriting and lyrical subject matter with a focus on encouraging a clear and positive state of mind. Matt also applies this courageous message to himself, which has given him the strength to overcome his own challenges and set his sights on a career in music. In the last few years Westerman has been carving out his dreams on stage, with gigs all over the Southern California area – from clubs, to bars, to busking on the Santa Monica pier.
With “Life Out Loud” slated for a Fall release, Matt Westerman is taking the chance of a lifetime, a chance that he hopes will inspire others to take a leap, reach for a dream, and actualize their own potential.

  • John Kutay

    John Kutay

Classically trained musician, turned tech-worker, turned musician again - John Kutay wears many hats and it comes through in his music. His debut solo EP, 'Trace' was self-produced in his San Francisco apartment yet carries the weight of a seasoned production - quickly gaining 10,000 digital plays in the first month of its release.
Despite his years as an engineer in the tech industry, John Kutay is no stranger to music. He is a trained pianist and composer from his years at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
John has performed in various indie bands in the San Francisco Bay Area and also worked professionally as a studio keyboardist (In Ya Face Records). John’s music is powered by his sweeping, soulful voice, pop-infused songwriting that emphasizes hooks, dynamics, and funky live instrumentals. He draws his sound from some of his favorite artists and producers including Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Calvin Harris, FKJ, Galamatias and many other artists across multiple genres that include R&B, EDM, jazz and soul.

  • Black Shabbat

    Black Shabbat

Black Shabbat originated as the rhythm section for various hard rock, alternative, and metal acts. The dynamic duo out of East LA now bring this energy to an acoustic setting. With a flamenco inspired arrangement of Kev on the Spanish guitar and Dave on cajón and percussion, the members take these traditions and flip them upside the head.

The central theme of Black Shabbat is to use the given instruments of melody and rhythm to unleash a spectrum of harmonious transmissions to reach and connect all of your emotions. These gentlemen play their instruments in such methods that are unique and nontraditional in order to create the sonic landscapes necessary to reach deep within. With musical influences ranging from anything to everything, expect the unexpected.

Formed in the Spring of 2013, FENTON cut their teeth in Virginia, quickly becoming a must-see act on the college circuit. In the tradition of their formative influences — The Strokes, The Stones, and David Bowie — FENTON put on a live show that is equal parts rock and roll intensity and Beatlesque melodicism.
Their recordings combine their live show’s energy with reflective lyrics and new wave flourishes. FENTON’s first EP, Indigo (2016), fused surf pop guitars with a Talking Heads-indebted sense of rhythm to create the ultimate soundtrack for late night driving. In an end of the year review, Cville Weekly recognized the EP as “proof Charlottesville’s music scene [was] thriving,” and its lead single, “Indigo,” has over 17,000 streams on Soundcloud and counting.
Released in 2017, Lucid Dreams built on Indigo’s rock roots while incorporating vaporwave and synthpop elements to give the recordings a distinctly modern edge. Online tastemakers featured the EP’s two singles, “One More Ride” and “Other Nights,” on multiple playlists, and the latter song was accompanied by a Lucie Lyon-directed music video that has received thousands of views so far.
Since relocating to Los Angeles this summer, FENTON built their own studio in Topanga Canyon and began work on a new set of songs reflecting the ways their lives have changed. With a love of everything from Frank Ocean to Frank Sinatra, FENTON filters all their influences through a classic rock ethos that is theirs alone.
