    Leni Stern African Trio

Leni Stern is a world leader in the jazz tradition of electric guitar playing.  For over 20 years she has led critically acclaimed ensembles featuring some of the most notable names in jazz, blues and African music.  Stern has also won multiple awards for composition and songwriting.  Guitar Player Magazine recently named her one of the 50 Most Sensational Female Guitarists of All-Time in their 50th Anniversary issue.
In recent years Stern decided to follow the path of American jazz and blues back to their roots in West Africa, traveling to Mali, Senegal and Benin to study and perform with the great Salif Keita, Bassekou Kouyate, Toumani Diabete, Ami Sacko, and Baaba Maal.  She regularly performed at the Festival Au Desert in Timbuktu and was a featured star in the feature length documentary "The Last Song Before the War" about the historic music festival.  Her n'goni (African traditional banjo instrument) playing has been featured on albums by Mike Stern, Lara Bello, Eric Johnson, and many others.
Stern's most recent project is a Trio collaboration with Senegalese artists Alioune Faye and Mamadou Ba.  Their latest album "Dakar Suite" is a celebration of the griot tradition that Faye and Ba come from, featuring Faye's percussive family as the driving groove on Stern's poignant and timely original songs which speak of racial justice, environmentalism, love and family.

    Erik Findling Entity

Erik was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Coming from a musical family, he was introduced to the guitar at a young age starting at just five years old. His older brother Kurt, played the drums and together they gigged all around the Chicago Club Circuit for a few years, playing all kinds of music. After actively performing live, Erik began to compose his original music and soon after, recorded his first professional album in a recording studio at just eleven years old.

Being exposed to various styles of music at a young age has allowed Erik to especially master his craft in Jazz, Blues, and Classical, while also maintaining a unique sound in contemporary music. Once he started high school, Erik’s musical journey had really taken off. He had started participating in prestigious summer Jazz camps and colonies, eventually earning him the guitar spot in the 2017 GRAMMY Camp – Jazz Session Combo where he and many other of the nation’s best young Jazz musicians performed most notably at the 2017 GRAMMY Nominee Reception and the 2017 GRAMMY Awards Afterparties. This eventually led Erik to record his first album at the world famous Capitol Records in L.A. which also gave him the opportunity to perform at the 2017 Newport Jazz Festival with some of the biggest names in music.

Erik has shared the stage with many famous musicians, most notably Dave Liebman, Joey Alexander, Arturo O’Farrill, Danilo Pérez, Chris Potter, Aloe Blacc, Victor Garcia, Christian McBride, and many more. Erik now lives in Los Angeles, California, where he continues to further his musical career.
