  • Girl Named Nino

    Girl Named Nino

Girl Named Nino is Nino Arobelidze's latest project. It is a band, a person and now, an album. Nino Arobelidze's sound combines Soul, Indie-rock, Jazz and World Music, creating a unique musical experience that is being dubbed a must-see by concert-goers.
Nino, being a Tbilisi born Chicago based singer, songwriter and producer moved to the U.S. as a teenager and while attending DePaul University Music School put together her first group, The CrossRoads Project. It was the Strange Brew EP release with The CrossRoads Project that started gaining a loyal fan following for the young artist.
Nino's solo full length release, NOMAD in 2014 established her as an artist to watch among numerous media outlets while her live performances continued to gain momentum with listeners.  "In each of her songs you can hear the underlying of jazz cruising over the cool, subtle beats" wrote Cynthia Crawford (The Chronicle), while Tony Sarabia of WBEZ compared Nino's voice to Billie Holiday's ( WorldView).
Building on her first Girl Named Nino national tour that earned her impressive accolades spanning from L.A. to NYC, Nino returns to The Mint LA, joined by Pablo Gordy on electric guitar and surprise guests (TBA).

  • Catie Waters

    Catie Waters

The music of Dallas-based singer/songwriter/musician/composer Catie Waters has been described as a unique blend of pop jazz and soul, with rich undertones of R&B and funk grooves. Undoubtedly unique and unwavering in her commitment to her artistic vision, there is an intellect and maturity that penetrates through her music. Appealing to multiple genres, Catie knows exactly who she is as an artist. Dark, enchanting, soulful and haunting, Catie’s original music and lyrics are derived from early life experiences that inspired introspection and accelerated maturity, fostering the gifted mind of a uniquely talented artist. Billie Holiday and Marvin Gaye are among Catie’s first musical idols, with influences also coming from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum, Erykah Badu, Adele, Regina Spektor, and Robert Glasper. Growing up in a small town in Northern Arkansas before moving to the cosmopolitan city of Dallas has enabled her to observe different societal views and values that have added perspective to her vast knowledge of cultural history. The majority of Catie’s childhood was spent immersing herself in books and music. She is particularly fascinated with the Civil Rights Movement and the Freedom Riders. Catie admires people of courage and those that have overcome strife and oppression in their lives. Two of Catie’s favorite quotes: “The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.” -Ernest Hemingway “Do not write so that you can be understood, write so that you cannot be misunderstood.” -Epictetus Catie aspires to write organic songs with tremendous depth that will inspire listeners to empower change. She is no stranger to the stage; having already performed at venues such as the House of Blues, The NAMM Show in Anaheim, The Bitter End in New York City, and Live In The Vineyard in Napa Valley, as well as being a featured artist at the 2013 Dallas Sol Jazz Festival. Sought after by multiple producers in New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas, Catie chose to collaborate in the Fall of 2012 with the talented Producer/Musician, Caleb Sean, who co-produced Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had.” With the participation of many amazing musicians, Catie recorded her first album with all live instrumentation to bring her organic vision to life. Her debut Album, ‘Stone Child,’ was released, May 1, 2013. Catie’s album was also released in Japan on October 30, 2013, by Sweet Soul Records. Catie is the recipient of a 2013 ASCAP Plus Award and is a member of The Recording Academy. She was also selected by BLI Media as a Top 13 Indie Artist of 2013. This is only the beginning for this emerging artist!

  • Alicia Blue

    Alicia Blue

Alicia Blue started writing poetry out of high school. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she met old soul singer Malcolm Hayes Jr. who taught her soul music from the 1960’s. Inspired by the voice of Aretha Franklin, and the poetry of Bob Dylan, she combined soul music with poetry in the first songs she would write in 2014.  She found her 1st manager busking in Santa Monica, who put her in touch with producer Julien Genuardi. The two hit it off, producing their first song “He’s An Artist”. Noted for sounding old yet new, this feature has defined Alicia. Her voice is passionate and powerful yet vulnerable, giving her a reputation as a dynamic singer.  She was recently a top 3 finalist for indie label Five of Five music’s annual “artist to sign”.

  • Kadie Buquoi

    Kadie Buquoi

Meet Kadie Buquoi - A dreamy & dark Los Angeles based songstress by way of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In a world of fast-paced dance beats and synth-pop, Kadie Buquoi (pronounced like "Katie Boo-Kwahh") has a sound of her own, with organic, cinematic arrangements dripping over rich piano and thoughtful lyrics, both tragic and comforting. Kadie's musical foundation was built at the piano under the heavy influence of her grandmother, who was a professional concert pianist in Louisiana. Just as prevalent, however, was the influence of other pianists/singer-songwriters such as Fiona Apple, Carol King, and Ben Folds. Her music extracts diverse elements from both worlds, with songwriting & production that is radio-ready, and melodies & arrangements that are haunting and complex. In the Fall of 2016, Kadie releases her debut EP, "The Black" featuring four new original songs, all having to do with understanding and making peace with one's own dark side.
