  • The Rituals

    The Rituals

In May of 2014 Barney Cortez, Anthony Cox and Steve Lyons got in their van and left Philadelphia to head for Los Angeles. They came to stay with their friend Jordan Rippe in North Hollywood and set up a make shift studio upon arrival, hashing out a new sound and a new batch of songs. Drummer Steve Demby was added shortly after meeting in a local bar one night. Within a few days of getting to southern California, a new band would come to form called The Rituals. Their sound is a mix of several styles, but the main focus is crafting great songs. Whether they make ballads, country, funk, rock or pop, the sound of the Rituals can only be described as classic. From the ashes of several bands they are now based in Los Angeles and currently working on mixing their first EP which was recorded in Burbank, CA. Keep your ears open for the next big band born and raised in LA.

  • The Shams

    The Shams

Whether it was a stroke of luck or pure genius, San Francisco based band, The Shams, formed in 2011 when musician and guitarist Joey Kennedy (Kilkenny, Ireland) reached out to his friend and fellow Irishman Sean Daly (Donegal, Ireland, to join musical forces as the front man for their new project. Daly quickly brought in James Scragg (Cork, Ireland) an old friend and accomplished drummer. Shortly after, talented Irish-American Tommy O`Mahony joined the band with his funky bass. The final member to join The Shams is Northern California native Henry Moser, whose expertise on the electric guitar rounds out the group’s explosive and distinctive sound.

The Shams provide listeners with a new, hard-hitting perspective on the evolution of Irish music, unlike any you’ve heard before. With each fiery live performance, the group leaves listeners begging for more.
