  • Youngblood Brass Band

    Youngblood Brass Band

Youngblood Brass Band flouts convention in an ecstatic, raucous, incendiary fashion, taking the form of a New Orleans brass band and morphing it into a punked-out hip-hop behemoth of groove and purpose. The ten-member ensemble, born in Madison, Wisconsin, now hails from all over the US (Madison, Brooklyn, Nashville, Minneapolis, Chicago) and has been unleashing their crash course in genre-bending on stages worldwide since 2000. What other band can claim the honor of having their music spun by DJs like Questlove (of The Roots), working with hip-hop luminaries like Talib Kweli, having their original compositions performed by student marching bands and jazz ensembles around the globe, and still not be out of place at a punk festival? What other band brings together the ostensibly disparate worlds of the trombone geek and the backpack b-boy? Youngblood has headlined countless tours in the States and abroad, selling out dates in over 20 countries. Their festival re?sume? reads like a list of the heaviest music events in the world: Roskilde, Glastonbury, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, SXSW, CMJ, North Sea Jazz, WOMAD...ad infinitum. Whitehot live shows secured the band’s status as an incredible group to witness, whether in an intimate club setting or in front of thousands on a festival stage.

  • DJ Synapse

    DJ Synapse

DJ Synapse has been a constant figure in the NYC music lexicon for the past 15 years. He uses his fluency of multiple musical genres (pop, dancefloor jazz, hip-hop, funk and reggae to rock, dubstep and electro) to put forth his Cut & Paste style, garnering him the respect of the DJ culture's founders, as well as the new guard. As a purveyor of "Verge Culture", Synapse uses the turntables as a plat...form to musically expand minds. DEFINITION: syn·apse [sin-aps, si-naps] : the place where thought happens.

  • The Senators

    The Senators

Following the ethos of true indie artists, The Senators, comprised of Jesse Teer, Adam Teer, Joe Bitz and Jason Yee released their completely self recorded album, Harsher than Whiskey/Sweeter than Wine, in 2013 and quickly drew the attention of folk rockers and indie hipsters at a pace awarding them #6 on Billboards Magazine’s Next Big Sound chart (Oct. 3rd, 2013).  The Senators blend sophisticated song-craft with humble pastoral sympathies and Americana influence, featuring poetic lyrics, uplifting harmonies and complex instrumental layers, lending to a more melodic branch of indie rock.

  • LPMD

    LPMD

The 2010 brainchild of founders Longineu Parsons III (drummer and founding member of Yellowcard) and Miles M. Davis, LPMD is a fusion of rock, hip-hop, rap and funk. In the summer of 2011 LPMD released their first full-length album titled “Off the Record” with the single “Float On” which was accompanied by a music video exclusively released by AbsolutePunk.net on August 16, 2011. “Prop. 19”, voted #3 on HailMaryJane.com’s Top 10 Stoner Songs of 2011, was the next single off the album and was also accompanied by a music video.

After touring the album over the next year and half, LPMD released the EP “Closer to That Sky” in July of 2013. The EP featured the title track “Closer to That Sky” along with the single “Backboards”. Following the release of “Closer to That Sky”, the band added Neal Faison to the group as a touring guitarist. Faison, a long time family friend of Longineu’s, would later be asked to join the group in the studio, which lead to him officially joining the band. Faison’s addition to the group brought depth and new life to their already energetic live shows. Shortly following the addition of Faison the band added bassist Benjamin Harper, also a founding member Yellowcard. Harper’s addition to the band brought even more depth to an already elaborate group of musicians.

The band is currently working on its next full-length album. This will be the bands first release with Faison and Harper.
