Where do old bandits go when there's nothing left to steal, where do
the exiled hide, where does a man not have to kneel?

Conor Patrick presents his songs wrapped in longing and poignant sadness. Loneliness, even isolation, along with wry self-deprecating humor and a sharp eye for everyday beauty mark his work as uniquely poetic. His tasteful guitar draws the audience into his soulful world.

The world no pretty lover but she'll break your heart, and like falling asleep in the
dawn, as soon as it feels righttime has moved it along

Fueled by a culturally criss-crossed childhood in Washington, DC, the Delaware coast and Santa Barbara, California, Conor  has drawn his inspiration from his family,  his peers,  his experiences and fertile imagination.  Arriving in Austin, Texas,  he immediately found a musical home.  As a young writer, his musical inspirations included Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle,  along with the Doors and the Rolling Stones.   More contemporary influences include Ryan Adams,  Richard Buckner  and Ryan Bingham.

Making love  like I'm dressing a wound...

Conor Patrick has always been a writer and words are the identifying characteristic of his songs. Inspired not only by his fellow songwriters, but his favorite authors (Cormac McCarthy, Steinbeck, Hemingway), he practices his trade with special attention to  words and to the phrases within which they lie.  Lots of them. Piling up, colliding, bouncing apart and creating an atmosphere of tension, a mood, an avalanche of emotion that carries the listener, and the song,  to the emotional end of the road,  wherever that might be.

Conor is working on his first EP at Screen Door Music, produced by Brian Standefer.
