Escape Club
The Escape Club began as an English rock band based in London founded by former Mad Shadows members' lead singer/rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel and guitarist John Holliday. They signed with EMI and recorded the album White Fields, which was released in 1987. The group moved to Atlantic Records for their next album, Wild Wild West, released in the summer of 1988. The first single, "Wild, Wild West" climbed to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the song's distinctive video received mass exposure on MTV. Escape Club went onto record 5 Top 100 Billboard chart songs before moving into writing and producing for others. The band reformed recently to record their 2012 album 'Celebrity' released on their own Whipped Cream Records label through indie Redeye Distribution. The first single from the album, "God's Own Radio," has received airplay on stations across the country, including at KCRW Santa Monica.
